Guang Dong Advanced Carbon Materials Co., Ltd. (KARGEN), founded in early 2023, is a new materials technology enterprise established by multiple overseas returnee PhDs from the United States, Germany, Sweden, and other countries. The company is dedicated to the production and application of lithium battery separator coating materials and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). It aims to serve industries and fields including lithium batteries, petrochemicals, gas industry, carbon dioxide capture, drying, and dehumidification, providing customers with new materials characterized by excellent performance, controllable cost, and environmental friendliness.
The company has built a 4, 000-square-meter facility in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, including a 1, 200-square-meter R&D laboratory equipped with various types of instruments and equipment, with a total investment of RMB 15 million. It has raised over RMB 100 million through its Angel Round and Pre-A Round financing. Currently employing 50 staff members, including 8 PhDs, the R&D team accounts for over 60% of the workforce. The company collaborates with nearly 100 universities at home and abroad.
